ABOUT THE BARRINGTON
The Barrington has been established as a Guest House since 2000. The current owner, Ruth Rennie, has recently taken over from Steve and Jenny after their years of ownership.
The original house was built around 1893 over 3 floors. We have 5 en-suite guest rooms, comprising 3 doubles, a twin and family room and can sleep up to 12 people.
Situated in a quiet side street and just 1 minute from Bexhill station, 3 minutes to the town centre and numerous restaurants and just 5 minutes from the world famous De La Warr Pavilion. We are also only 10 minutes from the Old Town’s Manor Barn and wedding venue.
Bexhill-on-Sea was voted the seaside town with the BEST quality of life in the Halifax Seaside Town Quality of Life Review. We are simply the best in the whole of England. If you are thinking of moving to the area or taking a short break, then you have now found the best seaside town in England.
Bexhill and The Barrington offers a warm welcome to visitors all year round.
Bexhill has a wonderful location with its 1066 historical surroundings and there is a great deal to do in the town. Bexhill has an excellent seafront with plenty of easy free parking and an award winning beach. The promenade stretches for miles from Galley Hill to the east and allow walkers and bike riders to reach St. Leonards and Hastings via a beach path and cycle route.
To the west is Cooden Beach, with spectacular views of Eastbourne and Beachy Head. Bexhill has numerous sporting facilities including tennis, bowls, squash, golf, cricket, football, swimming and of course, a fully equipped leisure centre and an indoor leisure pool complex.
Our guests love us, but don't just take our word for it! Here are some of our guest reviews.
"Really friendly and welcoming B&B in a good central location in Bexhill. Room clean and comfortable and a very good breakfast with lovely home made bread. No hesitation in recommending this B&B."
"I stayed for one night on a flying visit. Great on all counts; hosting, room, breakfast, price. If you favour a B&B over a hotel, then The Barrington should be on your short list. Would certainly stay again."
"The room we had was very nice and clean and good value for money. The hotel is in an ideal location just minutes from the beach and easy walking distance from the rail station. There are also a number of nice places to eat nearby..."
